I'm Ellie, a trained Montessori teacher for ages 3-12 and been home-educating my
13 and 10 years old children from the beginning. I've been providing Montessori tuition for over 10 years and hold an enhanced DBS, first aid training and special needs level 2 diploma.
The Montessori tuition club is for children aged 5-12 and covers Maths, English,
Science, Arts, Geography and History using the Montessori method and
following the child’s interests.
The sessions are child-led and the children will be guided and encouraged
through project work and presentations to learn, research and achieve their full potential.
My setting is fully equipped with Montessori materials and manipulatives, the sessions are drop off only and runs from my home setting, based in Greenwich, South-east London.
The group is mixed ages and abilities. In the Montessori philosophy the child is our guide, therefore no child is behind, they are all working on mastering the skills they need on the timeline that suit them best.

I'm a great believer in the child's genius and abilities therefore I'm only there to support the inner teacher of the child however if the child doesn't have a stimulating and inviting environment they won't be able to tap on the great potential they hold within themselves, hence comes my setting where I have a carefully prepared environment and through observing your child and offering the right amount and type of activities I can help him/her have an enjoyable and satisfying learning experience.
Once the children arrive, we start off by a circle time where we share a conversation about our week, talk about current interests for everyone and maybe agree on a project of the week and then I share a story from the Montessori great lessons that ties in with one of the different sciences such as earth science, history or biology, etc...
After the story, the children are guided to choose materials to work on from the shelves while I give presentations on new concepts to each child individually.
Then we break for lunch, the child brings lunch box, and have free play in the garden for 15 mins then back to the school room with more activities to do from the shelves that cover maths, geometry, English language, and grammar.
Before pick up time we have a short circle time where each child chooses a topic to research and give a presentation on or make a project to show the following week. After each session I will be sending pictures of some of the activities your child worked on during the session. To inquire about the Montessori Club, arrange a visit or be added to the waiting list please contact me.
If you are finding it difficult to bring your child to my Montessori club, please contact me to check my availability for online tuition.
I also offer mentorship and consultations for parents and teachers who wish to educate their children at home following the Montessori philosophy. I provide online and off-line mentorship (London only) to help you with setting up your home in line with the Montessori philosophy. Please contact me to know more about the packages I offer.
